Speech Contest - Mahatma Gandhi Week 2015


Mahatma Gandhi Library holds its annual Speech Contest on Saturday, September 26, 2015. It will be held starting at 8 AM at Arya Samaj Greater Houston located at 13475 Schiller Road, Houston, TX 77083.

The topics for this year contest are as follows:

Age 10 and below - Bullying: My perspective

Age 11 and above - Does war lead to peace?

Please be sure to attend the contest to watch these young speakers delivering inspiring speeches. The winners of the contest will deliver their speeches at the celebration of “Gandhi Jayanti”(Gandhi ji’s birthday) as 1000 Lights for Peace on Sunday, October 4, 2015. It will take place at the The Miller Outdoor Theatre located at 6000 Hermann Park Dr, Houston, TX 77030 from 5 PM to 8 PM. The finale of the program will be lighting of the candle by each person as pledge to practice truth and non-violence in one’s own life. Please find attached a flyer for the same.
